Fashion finds in Dubai

Image
I sometimes consider myself a shopaholic, being a girl I love clothes and of course shopping. Shopping is a lot of fun especially if you find something you like. It’s an awesome feeling when you find that one dress that you love and didn’t even need but ohhhh so want. And even better when you find a bargain like a price tag that you didn’t even expect or even better a sale.   As you know from my earlier post that I was visiting Dubai and it was awesome in every way you can think of. One of the extras of the trip for me was of course the shopping. There are so many stores in Dubai that are European or Australian that I hadn’t even heard of back in the States. I’m not picky and I love to browse around whenever I have time and see if I can find anything to my liking. On this trip I came across a few items that are nice, trendy, and of course at reasonable prices.   One of the best times to shop in Dubai is during Dubai shopping festival where there are sales everywhere you go. Solo trip to Dubai

Image
I have traveled to Dubai about four times and each time it was with family. Although I highly enjoyed each and every trip, this trip was my first trip without kids. For me the experience itself was totally different. Traveling solo is just as much fun as it is if you are with friends or family. For me personally without kids I got to do much more in one day then when I was with family. Kids are truly a blessing but they do slow you down while traveling, as they always have to pee or eat or snack or get bored and need attention. So the things that I would normally do in two or three days, on this trip I got to do in one day. I covered more surface area, saw more, shopped more, and walked around faster without being slowed down. On this trip I took a metro to most places and it was much cheaper than a taxi, but if you are traveling with two people or more metro is not for you as it is slower and the cost will be the same as with a taxi. But if you are alone metro is ideal, however it

Recipe for saffron bunt cake yummy ummy

Image
Saffron bunt cake recipe I have made this cake over and over the last ten years and everyone loves it. The people that have it the first time at my house automatically become a fan of it. I always encourage all my friends and family to give a try. It is something new and fresh and the whole house will be filled with the sweet aroma of saffron. You won't be able to wait until it bakes to taste it. It is fairly easy to make, the ingredients are all natural and good for you. And I promise it comes out so much better than any box cake that is filled with food coloring and ingredients we can't even pronounce let alone know what they are. Don't be intimidated and give it a try and let me know how you like it. The only thing new in this recipe is saffron and method of making it but you will love it and learn how to add saffron to other foods as well. The time it will take is 10-15 minutes prep for ingredients and 30 minutes bake time. Good luck. Ingredients 1 cup milk

Happiness through life

Happiness through life Happiness like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I guess it depends on how you see the world and how you perceive the people in the world. The whole idea of glass half empty or glass half full is something that just sounds good in movies but real life is not that simple that you can put it in two halves. I wish it was but it's not. Real life has millions of halves so much so that you can't even keep track of it and sometimes those halves all happen in one day.  Sometimes you are able to put the halves together and make a whole and go on with your day, other times you are left to clean up the halves until you find a semi way out of the mess to be able get out. I am happily married and a mother of two beautiful angels. And over time I have come to find that yes some days are so over whelming that I don't even want to get out of bed, yet other days I am eager to start the day and deal with whatever life throws at me. I don't just think of
